Guided Walk/Tour at Bodleian Library

Self-guided audio guides are available in English, French and German. Audio tours do not include visits to the reading rooms, but do include access to the magnificent Divinity School and allow you to explore the external quadrangles.

Daily mini tours (30 min) and standard walk-in tours (60 min) are led by a guide and include a visit to the Divinity School and Duke Humfrey's Library.

Extended walk-in tours (90 minutes) are offered at most weekends and include a visit to the architectural icon of Oxford, the Radcliffe Camera: the first rotunda library built in Britain.
During 2010 an extended tour will still include a visit to the underground tunnels and passages leading to the book stacks, where millions of volumes are shelved. This is a limited opportunity, available until the tunnels close for the refurbishment of the New Bodleian Library at the end of the year.
Please note that because the Bodleian is a working library, the content of tours may alter and certain of the areas listed above may be omitted.
To avoid disappointment, we encourage you to book extended tours in advance.
