View the celebratory lantern procession as it makes its
way from two starting points, north and south, joining
together in Broad Street before moving to its final
destination at Oxford Castle. As the lanterns pass by,
the Christmas lights in each street will be switched on.
The NORTH PROCESSION starts from The Pitt
Rivers Museum and will be led by the Oxfordshire
Corunna Band along Parks Road and Broad Street.
The SOUTH PROCESSION starts outside Modern
Art Oxford, with the Feestkapelle Decibel Band from Leiden leading the way up Pembroke Street, through St. Aldates, the High Street and Turl Street to Broad Street.
The meeting of the two parades in Broad Street will
be illuminated with fire dancing.
The COMBINED PROCESSION passes along Broad
Street, Cornmarket, Queen Street and New Road to
Oxford Castle Unlocked, where the Castle Mound will
be brought to life with music and fire dancing
